LONDON, Ontario — The London Cricket Club (LCC) is making a significant impact in the 2024 London Cricket League (LCL) with four dynamic teams: the LCC Titans, LCC Tigers, LCC Warriors, and LCC Mavericks. Each team demonstrates a unique style and competitive edge, contributing to the club’s strong presence in the league. LCC boasts a diverse and inclusive membership of over 100 people, ranging in age from 14 to 65. This broad spectrum of ages and backgrounds enriches the club, fostering a welcoming and supportive environment.

Founded around 1856, LCC has a long and proud history as one of the oldest cricket clubs in the region. The club’s enduring commitment to the sport is a cornerstone of its identity and success. The 2024 London Cricket League began on May 11th and features 14 teams, including LCC’s four squads. Each team played 13 matches in the first round. The top 7 teams move to the Elite Division, while the bottom 7 compete in the Premium League.

In early September, the top 2 teams in each division will compete for the championships. LCC’s Warriors and Tigers are in the Elite Division, while the Titans and Mavericks are in the Premium Division.

LCC players are making significant contributions in both batting and bowling. Abdulla Agib from the Warriors is 7th in batting with 349 runs, and Arun Jentrick from the Titans is 9th with 309 runs. The top batsman is Amir Khan from Sarnia Cricket Club with 545 runs. In bowling, Kushpreet Singh from the Warriors leads with 25 wickets, while Thausif Mohammed from the Titans is 5th with 22 wickets.
