London Cricket Club 2024 playoff update: Titans and Mavericks set for semifinals

LONDON, Ontario — As the 2024 London Cricket League reaches its thrilling conclusion, the London Cricket Club (LCC) is gearing up for an exciting playoff run. Both LCC Titans and LCC Mavericks have qualified for the Premier Division semi-finals, while the Elite Division semi-finals promise intense matchups as well.

In the Premier Division, LCC Titans fought hard to win 3 out of 6 matches, finishing 4th in the standings. They will face London Eagle Predators in the semi-finals on Sunday, September 22, at 12:30 PM at NLAF. Meanwhile, LCC Mavericks secured 2nd place on the table, winning 5 matches, and will take on London Phoenix XI in the second semi-final on Sunday at 2:30 PM at Northridge.

Several LCC players have had standout performances this season. Swapnil Raj from LCC Titans scored 177 runs, making him the 3rd highest run-scorer in the Premier Division, with two half-centuries. Ammar from LCC Mavericks leads the Premier Division with 12 wickets, including a brilliant 5-wicket haul in one match. Additionally, Abhishek from LCC Mavericks ranks 2nd in the Most Valuable Player (MVP) standings, close behind Rohit from Kingstriker.

In the Elite Division, although LCC Warriors and LCC Tigers missed out on the playoffs, the competition continues with Punjab Royals (PR), Sarnia A, London Sport Club (LSC), and Sarnia C in the semi-finals, set for Saturday, September 21.

Both the Premier and Elite Division finals are scheduled for September 28-29 at NLAF. Come out and support our LCC teams as they strive for victory and bring the trophy home!
