London Cricket League (LCL)- 2023
As the thrilling cricket season of 2023 concludes, it’s time to wrap up some highlights for our fans. Over the past four months, 14 teams in London passionately battled it out in the 30-overs tournament. In a nail-biting final, the Gujrat Lions emerged victorious by chasing down 162 runs in 30 overs, defeating the defending champions, Loncon Sports Club. Viren Patels exceptional all-round performance, scoring 47 runs and claiming 3 wickets, played a pivotal role in their triumph. A highlight of the season was Aamir Khan from Saria Cricket Club, who showcased his brilliance by becoming the highest scorer with a remarkable 1001 runs.
Meanwhile, Johnny Sooriyamoorthy and Khuspreet Singh stood out as the season’s too wicket-takers. each claimino 30 wickets.
Cricket fever continued as the London League organized the T20 championship this season. A match that truly lived up to its final billing. London Sports Club and Punjab Royals put up a fierce fight in a low-scoring encounter. Punad Royals, needing Y runs to win in the last over, achieved the target of 122 with just one ball to spare.
